Your Action Steps

To get started on the every  other week “touch” cycles divide your “A-list” in half with each group on its own “tracking sheet.”

Next using the information that you gathered on each person send out a connecting email following the best practices framework in this lesson and include a reference to something personal or attach a “value item.”

Depending on how well you know the person and how recently you may have last engaged with them, make it relevant to this time. This could include elements such as reconnecting or catching up, doing a “wellness check…”

Always end the email with a possible next step in taking the dialogue to a future contact. Keep it comfortable, giving and positive.

Also, make a commitment to make two touches or outreaches a day… your goal is to take this activity into an everyday “giving” practice and a new habit. Don’t over-think this… keep it simple, get it started and think about the results you’re going to enjoy.
