The Phone Call Touch

As you enter into the recurring cycle of making bi-weekly contact, you need to vary how you make contact and mix up the “touch type” each time.

One of the most convenient ways to reach out is to simply call the person. Likely, you’re going to get a voice message instead of getting through to them. Always wait through the message and leave a short voice message yourself.

So as you prepare to make the call have your topic in mind and make sure its based on something you know or are following up on based on a prior contact. For example checking in on a family matter, how a trip went, whether they got something they earlier expressed a need for or whatever.

Create continuity and relevance in your calls and messages… make them warm and personal and always be seeking for ways that you can support the individual based on what you understand their needs are.
