Your Action Steps

First create your own reconnection campaign and take a small step forward with a few people after assessing who may be a candidate for the “reconnect.” 

As you make the initial outreach to get back in touch, always be sure to finish that activity with an agreement as to what your next contact will be with that reconnection. This isn’t about a “one and done” effort but about taking these reconnections and adding them to your “A-list” where appropriate and implementing a “touch-cycle” like you have underway already with your “A-list.”

Remember, we started out focusing on a few in your original “A-list” to understand the importance of going deeper with a few and to understand the whole purpose of building highly engaged connections and learning how to do that.

Now as you’re progressing through the weeks of the Academy roadmap, you’ll see that it’s fine to add new people and soon when you uncover some who just aren’t responsive to your efforts you’ll also learn that it’s time to replace them with other potential referral partners.

So first, begin to develop your “reconnection campaign.”

Then this week you also need to reach out with the “second touch” to the 2nd half of your “A-list.” 

Remember to vary the way you reach out using one of the other tactics you learned earlier and always make it personal and relational.

You’re not ready yet to start “asking” but that’s coming very soon. Stay on track with your engagement activities and soon you’ll begin to see returns.
