Let’s Go! Selecting Your “A-List”

Here you need to decide who you’re going to be focusing your attention on in building a circle of referral partners. At the end of this exercise you should have a group of about 20 people who you think you might build relationships with and gain introductions.

Now I want to encourage you to begin by quickly identifying a few people to start with. Often I see folks getting bogged down trying to decide whether to include someone or not. This can lead to getting stalled at the beginning.

Just begin and know that you can refine the list later. If you’re challenged finding 20, go as far as you can now. There’s always going to be room to add more people later as you begin to see how the process works and more great people come to mind.
